Dr. Alexandra Boudreau

DDS, MS

Pediatric Dentist & Co-Founder
Dr. Alex grew up in Wilmington, NC, graduated summa cum laude from NC State, and earned her dental degree with honors at UNC. She completed her pediatric residency at UNC where she also met Dr. Kevin. As a mom of three, she brings both clinical expertise and genuine parental empathy to every appointment.

Dr. Kevin Ricker

DDS, MS

Pediatric Dentist & Co-Founder
Dr. Kevin took a winding road to pediatric dentistry math teacher, IT professional, and dental researcher before earning his DDS and completing his residency at UNC. He co-founded CPD in 2016 with Dr. Alex. Outside the office he’s an award-winning wildlife photographer and a loud guitarist.

Sheri Moyer

Front Office Coordinator

Sheri helps out up front deciphering your benefits and going to bat for you if your insurance company tries any funny business.
Sheri grew up all over the place as an Air Force kid, but she’s been in Chapel Hill for decades working in all kinds of roles from Weaver Street Realty and Pepper’s Pizza to Schoolkids Records, Cat’s Cradle, and Baptist Campus Ministries. She first met Drs. Kevin and Alex while coordinating support services at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. Kevin would come down asking for help printing research posters, and the next thing she knew, she was working at CPD. She lives out in the wilds of Orange County, listening to vintage ska, with her dogs and chickens.

Caitlin Iturralde

Front Office Coordinator

Caitlin helps get you checked in, checked out, and squeezes as much out of your dental insurance benefits as humanly possible.

Caitlin was born in the midwest but mostly grew up in Apex. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from NC State University with a degree in psychology, then started her dental career at an orthodontic practice in Cary before making the switch to CPD full time. She’s grateful for the opportunity to help families get excellent care for their children’s teeth. When she’s not in the office, she’s usually hanging with her family, reading books, going to movies, or heading to DPAC for musical theater a love she proclaims without apology.

Eri Patterson

Dental Hygienist

Eri is a lifelong Tar Heel and a decade-plus veteran of pediatric dental hygiene. She loves helping kids leave the office excited to brush their teeth.
Eri grew up in Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She’s been working in pediatric dentistry for over a decade, and she loves helping kids have positive, comfortable dental visits and helping parents survive them. She loves everything about teeth: cleaning them, flossing them, talking about them, and teaching families everything they ever wanted to know (and maybe a few things they didn’t). As a parent of two young kids herself, she knows that caring for children’s teeth comes with a lot of questions, and she’s always happy to help navigate brushing, flossing, snacks, and all the little things that keep growing smiles healthy.

Damaris Najera

Dental Assistant

Damaris has spent her entire career in pediatric dentistry. She’s fluent in Spanish in fact, she’s been speaking it longer than she’s been speaking English.
Damaris grew up in Alamance County and completed her training in dental assisting at Alamance County Community College. She’s spent her entire career working in pediatric dentistry and works hard to treat each child with kindness and compassion, because going to the dentist isn’t always easy. She’s fluent in Spanish and loves connecting with Spanish-speaking families. When she’s not helping your kids, she’s usually helping her own two boys and a girl. As she puts it, parenting is a second full-time job, and if she’s not tripping over blocks in the house, she’s tripping over Roblox on her kids’ iPad. She recommends helmets and mouthguards for everyone.

Elvira Garcia

Dental Assistant

Elvira grew up in Siler City and has been a dental assistant for a decade. She’s a fluent Spanish speaker and loves connecting with Spanish-speaking families.
Elvira grew up right down the road in Siler City and has been working as a dental assistant for a decade. She graduated from Jordan Matthews and quickly went to work in a pediatric dental practice, training under the dentists there before coming to CPD in 2023. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and loves connecting with Spanish-speaking families including gently correcting Dr. Kevin’s hilariously inconsistent pronunciations. She tries to create the kind of environment she would want for her own kids at the dentist, leading with kindness and patience. When she’s not polishing teeth or passing instruments, she’s working her other full-time job as a mother to some other Chatham County kids, watching true crime documentaries, and tweaking the office playlist.

Karen Sydalack

Dental Assistant

Karen trained as a registered dental assistant in Texas and has been happily calling North Carolina home for almost twenty years.
Karen grew up in Oklahoma and Texas and trained as a registered dental assistant in Texas before landing in North Carolina almost twenty years ago. She’s worked in a variety of dental assisting roles, mostly in general dentistry implants, root canals, oral surgery but was excited to make the switch to working with K-Pop Demon Hunters, Bluey, and whatever your child’s current favorite superhero or princess happens to be. She lives on the rural edges of Orange County with three children, two cats, and one husband. The cats are very sweet. You should meet them.
