We’re the dentists you wish you had growing up. Board-certified pediatric specialists who genuinely love what they do — and genuinely love the kids they do it for.

Our Story

We're Alex & Kevin. Nice to Meet You.

We’re Dr. Boudreau and Dr. Ricker — but to our spouses, kids, dogs, cats, and HVAC guys, we’re really just Alex and Kevin. We love our specialty and what we do, but more than anything, we love helping people — especially the little ones.

We founded Chatham Pediatric Dentistry because we wanted to build something different: a practice where kids actually look forward to coming, where parents feel heard and informed, and where the whole experience feels human — not clinical.

We’re Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Pittsboro and Chatham County people. We live here, shop here, and raise our families here. We just happen to be the ones holding the fluoride.

Chatham Pediatric Dentistry is not a cosmetic spa and not a corporate chain. We are a pediatric specialty practice in Chapel Hill, led by Dr. Alexandra Boudreau and Dr. Kevin Ricker, who both completed pediatric dental residencies at the UNC School of Dentistry. We take your child’s long-term oral health just as seriously as they take their selfies.

Dr. Alex brings warm, straightforward honesty to every visit, and Dr. Kevin adds a healthy dose of wit and calm, especially for nervous kids. We love working with children and teens, and it shows in the way we explain options, respect boundaries, and let families decide what feels right. Our patients come from across Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Pittsboro and Chatham County. We are proud to care for our neighbors’ kids like they are our own.

Dr. Kevin is an avid wildlife photographer. His photos are actually pretty good.

Dr. Alex is a certified yoga instructor. She's also a Summa Cum Laude NC State grad.

We're pro-sasquatch. Pro-nessie. Anti-cavity. Our priorities are clear.

Both Dr. Alex & Dr. Kevin attended UNC Dental School

Despite her dental school and residency at UNC, Dr. Alex remains a die-hard fan of the NC State Wolfpack.

Dr. Kevin is a true Tar Heel, and he’s confident that Ed Cota is the greatest basketball player of all time.
